B. Kannan is an Indian cinematographer who has worked in Tamil and Malayalam films.He is known for his association with Director Bharathiraja and is famously referred as "Bharathirajvin Kangal" (Bharathirajas's Eyes).

Personal life

Kannan is the son of film-maker A. Bhimsingh and the younger brother of editor B. Lenin.He is married to Kanchana and has two daughters namely MadhuMathi and Janani (Married to Dinesh Jayapalan - IT Professional and has a daughter Thiyara).

Career

Kannan is known for his recurrent association with Bharathiraja.[1]

Awards

He has won the Shantaram Award for Best Cinematography for his work in Kadal Pookkal in 2001.[2] He is also a recipient of the Tamil Nadu State Film Award for Best Cinematographer twice for Alaigal Oivathillai (1981) and Kangalal Kaidhu Sei (2004).
