释义 |
Bobby Chinn is a restaurant in Hanoi, Vietnam, situated near the perimeter of the Old Quarter, overlooking Hoàn Kiếm Lake. It is run by the internationally renowned New Zealand chef Bobby Chinn. It serves a mixture of Californian, French, and Vietnamese cuisine, as well as a variety of international tapas-style dishes. DescriptionNew Zealand-born Chef Bobby Chinn had previously run several restaurants in Vietnam following his training in France, and his work in California.[1] He opened his self-titled restaurant in 2000 near the Hoàn Kiếm Lake,[1] but following increases in rent, it was moved to the Tây Hồ District of Hanoi.[2] The interior of the restaurant features artwork from Chinn's private collection, and is divided into two dining rooms and a lounge.[3] A further branch of the restaurant is in Ho Chi Minh City.[5] MenuReflective of the city's "increasingly cosmopolitan tastes",[4] the restaurant serves Californian, French, and Vietnamese cuisine.[5] This includes Chinn's variations on traditional Vietnamese cuisine, using the influences from his training in France. These include spring rolls filled with filet mignon,[3] as well as crab cakes with a tamarind glaze on chive flowers. There is also a variety of internationally influenced tapas-style dishes, such as a Moroccan-style braised squid.[3] One of the most well-known dishes is green-tea smoked duck, served with wasabi mashed potato.[2] ReceptionIn 2010, the Vietnam Investment Review ranked Restaurant Bobby Chinn as the fifth best restaurant in Hanoi.[6] In 2014, it was ranked as the 60th best restaurant worldwide by US website The Daily Meal.[7] References1. ^{{cite news|last1=Gross|first1=Matt|title=From clay pots to quail eggs in Hanoi|url=http://www.highbeam.com/doc/1P1-118034686.html|archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20150924172659/http://www.highbeam.com/doc/1P1-118034686.html|dead-url=yes|archive-date=24 September 2015|accessdate=20 June 2015|work=International Herald Tribune|date=3 February 2006|subscription=yes|via=HighBeam Research}} 2. ^1 {{cite news|last1=Birkett|first1=Rosie|title=Best budget eats in Hanoi|url=https://www.theguardian.com/travel/2010/oct/12/hanoi-street-food|accessdate=20 June 2015|date=12 October 2010}} 3. ^1 2 3 {{cite news|title=A culinary home for a global nomad|url=http://www.highbeam.com/doc/1G1-240801707.html|archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20150924152657/http://www.highbeam.com/doc/1G1-240801707.html|dead-url=yes|archive-date=24 September 2015|accessdate=20 June 2015|work=Vietnam Investment Review|date=4 October 2010|subscription=yes|via=HighBeam Research}} 4. ^1 {{cite book|last=Downs|first=Tom|title=Hanoi and Halong Bay|url=https://books.google.com/books?id=kIFzI-el3zgC&pg=PA19|year=2007|publisher=Lonely Planet|isbn=978-1-74179-092-4|page=19}} 5. ^{{cite book|author=Frommer's ShortCuts|title=Hanoi, Vietnam: Frommer's ShortCuts|url=https://books.google.com/books?id=kvVNq-zXV_YC&pg=PT32|date=11 January 2012|publisher=John Wiley & Sons|isbn=978-1-118-19276-4|page=32}} 6. ^{{cite news|title=Top 5 restaurants in Vietnam|url=http://www.highbeam.com/doc/1G1-242311791.html|archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20150924152721/http://www.highbeam.com/doc/1G1-242311791.html|dead-url=yes|archive-date=24 September 2015|accessdate=20 June 2015|work=Vietnam Investment Review|date=25 November 2010|subscription=yes|via=HighBeam Research}} 7. ^{{cite web|title=Vietnam's restaurants get new acclaim|url=http://www.thanhniennews.com/travel/vietnams-restaurants-get-new-acclaim-34732.html|publisher=Thanhnien News|accessdate=20 June 2015|date=2 December 2014}} External links
