BiographyHe was a member of the Georgia House of Representatives from 1974 to 2013. He was a member of the Republican party. Hanner was a Democrat; he then switched political parties and joined the Republicans in 2010. Hanner was born in Sumter County, Georgia. He served in the United States Coast Guard in 1967 and 1968 in South Vietnam. Hanner went to the Gordon Military College and to the Georgia Southwestern State University. He was involved in the insurance business and estate planning. Hanner was a farmer.
