She was the first winner of reality TV show Australia's Got Talent in 2007 at age 12. She released her debut single "Raise the Bar" in 2013,[1] and has continued to be a prominent feature in Australia's Top 40 scene. Australia's Got TalentAnderson first came to attention when she became a finalist on the first season of Australia's Got Talent at age 12. With a soulful voice beyond her years, Anderson was a stand out contestant. She eventually won the season. Anderson was offered recording and management contracts soon after, and Anderson declined them to "just be a kid for a while". Anderson continued to work on her songwriting and studied multiple musical instruments to help with her stage craft.[2] Music careerIn 2012, Anderson was featured on a cover of "Gonna Make You Sweat" with fellow Got Talent allumni Justice Crew. It was the theme song to short-lived dance show Everybody Dance Now. Her debut single, "Raise The Bar"[3] written by the DNA duo, was released on 8 November 2013.[4] On 13 June 2014, Anderson released a new single, titled "Blackout".[5] Anderson incorporated a highly stylised look for the imagery in its music video, working with the 2013 ARIA Award winner for Best Video Director, Christopher Frey, and celebrity photographer Peter Brew-Bevan.[6] Anderson also toured around Australia with UK singer Olly Murs. The track became her first top 20 in Australia, receiving a gold certification. Anderson released "Rodeo" in 2014, the single has a country pop production compared to the electronic elements on "Blackout". "Rodeo" failed to chart and has since been removed from iTunes but did receive a physical release. In 2015, Anderson released "Unbroken".[7] The track was produced by Matt Rad (One Direction, Demi Lovato) and mixed by Chris Lord-Alge. The song's resilient spirit and musical strength set the bar high for Anderson's new direction and material. Anderson is managed by Ralph Carr Management[8] and is signed to Standard Records.[9] Maybelline collaboration and "The Ones I Love"In 2016, Anderson was featured in the "Leather Look" campaign for Maybelline.[10] The collaboration was marked by the release of Anderson's new single "The Ones I Love",[11] which saw her work with the cosmetics company on a [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wvdDguv1nt4 film clip], to coincide with a print campaign. As Anderson explains, "'The Ones I Love' came from a dream I had...Dreams often trigger stories and songs for me to write about. This one in particular really shook me up, it felt so real! Losing someone you love would be the hardest thing to go through, it even hurts in your dreams, which made me realise how important it is to spend time with my loved ones. This song means so much to me and I hope it resonates with others as well. I can’t wait for everyone to hear it." The track was remixed by Diamm and released in the United Kingdom and Europe where it reached #3 on the Music Week Commercial Pop Charts.[12] Musical theatre and actingIn November 2016, Anderson made her musical theatre debut in Godspell Reimagined.[13] "I'm always trying to do different things. I thought I'd give it a shot. It's a pretty wild experience learning the script. I've done a bit of acting before, but doing it for a stage musical is a whole other thing."[14] Anderson joined the cast of television soap opera Neighbours as Beatrix Nilsson in early 2018. She signed a two year contract and her first scenes aired on 18 May 2018.[15] Charity workAnderson is a passionate supporter of the Alannah and Madeline Foundation,[16] and is also a Tip For Change Ambassador.
