The company focuses primarily on the private sector.[11] Public ActivityIn 2014, after the Ukrainian Revolution of Dignity, Lozhkin was appointed Head of the Presidential Administration of Ukraine. He served in this capacity until 2016. An apolitical person himself, Boris spearheaded a fundamental shift in Ukrainian politics by bringing into Government a new generation of inspirational and politically unaffiliated reformers. During his two-year mandate, Ukraine implemented more reforms than it had in the 20 years since independence.[12] In 2016, while resuming his business and philanthropic activities, Lozhkin took on the role of Ukraine's Secretary of the National Investment Council[13] where he worked to attract foreign investment to Ukraine.[14][15] During the same year Lozhkin co-chaired the organizing committee of the 75th Memorial Day of the Babi Yar tragedy,[16] and published "The Fourth Republic: Why Europe Needs Ukraine and Ukraine, Europe ",[17] a political non-fiction bestseller in Ukraine. The book came out in Ukrainian, Russian, English and German[18] and received an award from Oleksandra Koval, President of the International Publishers' Forum in Lviv. In May 2018 Lozhkin was elected President of the Jewish Confederation of Ukraine (JCU)[19] and appointed Vice-President of the World Jewish Congress.[20] In this capacity he and James Temerty, Founder and Chairman of the Ukrainian Jewish Encounter, awarded Ronald Lauder, President of the Word Jewish Congress, with the Andrey Sheptytsky Medal for his extensive contribution to the Ukrainian Jewry.[21] As head of JCU, Lozhkin's main objectives are to strengthen the organisation, and help and honor Ukraine’s Righteous Among the Nations.[22] Lozhkin spoke at the 2018 Kiev International Economic Forum.[23] PhilanthropyBoris has a long history of giving back to the community through his charitable foundation,[24] which focuses on helping children and the elderly, as well as the arts. The foundation has been holding an annual "Arts-for-Life" auction of contemporary Ukrainian art since 2015. Proceeds are used to buy medical equipment for pediatric health care facilities.[25] In 2016 the Lozhkin Charitable Foundation and Supplies Over Seas (SOS) transferred $152,000 worth of medical supplies and equipment to four Kharkiv medical facilities.[26] In October 2018, the Lozhkin Foundation donated medical equipment worth $325,000 to the Illia Yemets Center for Pediatric Cardiology and Cardiac Surgery.[27] Boris Lozhkin is a member of the Board of Trustees of the Tabletochki Fund, which supports families and children suffering from cancer.[28] FamilyBoris is married to Nadia Shalomova, and they have one daughter.
