It was nicknamed "The Fortress" and "Breaking Bad village" as a consequence. The authorities finally raided it in December 2013 but appear to have failed to stamp out drug production.[5] According to Xinhua News Agency the region is "plagued with rampant drug production and trafficking". "Over a third of meth consumed in China originates from Boshe and neighbouring villages" and "one in five families is directly involved in drug production".[6] References1. ^{{cite web|url=https://encrypted.google.com/maps/search/Bo%20She%20Cun,%20Lufeng%20Shi,%20Shanwei%20Shi,%20Guangdong%20Sheng,%20China|title=Bo She Cun, Lufeng Shi, Shanwei Shi, Guangdong Sheng, China|publisher=Google Maps|accessdate=23 July 2015}} {{coord|22|52|N|116|01|E|display=title|region:CN_type:city_source:GNS-enwiki}}{{Guangdong-geo-stub}}2. ^{{cite web |url=http://www.stats.gov.cn/tjsj/tjbz/tjyqhdmhcxhfdm/2017/44/15/81/441581118.html |script-title=zh:2017年统计用区划代码和城乡划分代码:甲西镇 |trans-title=2017 Statistical Area Numbers and Rural-Urban Area Numbers: Jiaxi Town |publisher=National Bureau of Statistics of the People's Republic of China|language=Chinese|date=2017 |accessdate=11 October 2018 |quote={{lang|zh-hans|441581118204 220 博社村委会}}}} 3. ^Phillips, Tom.
