}}Buchanania insignis is a tree of Borneo in the cashew and sumac family Anacardiaceae. The specific epithet {{lang|la|insignis}} is from the Latin meaning "remarkable".[3]DescriptionBuchanania insignis grows as a tree up to {{convert|25|m|-1}} tall with a trunk diameter of up to {{convert|40|cm|0|abbr=on}}. Its smooth bark is grey-white. The flowers are white.
