The {{convert|1.74|m|ftin|abbr=on}} tall sportswoman at {{convert|63|kg|lb|abbr=on}} is a member of Galatasaray Swimming team since 2006.[2][3][4] She studied at Istanbul University.[5] Dolunay is holder of several national records in freestyle. She qualified to participate in the 50 m freestyle and 100 m freestyle events at the 2012 Summer Olympics.[2][6] At the 2013 Mediterranean Games held in Mersin, Turkey, she won two bronze medals in the 50 m freestyle and 4 × 100 m freestyle relay events.
