The {{convert|10|km|adj=on}} long fjord is about {{convert|1|to|3|km}} wide, although the mouth of the fjord is only {{convert|100|m}} wide. The mouth of the fjord is by the village of Straumen and there is a bridge across the fjord at its narrowest point.[1][2] See also
