Camilla Gervide (born 17 November 1980) is a Swedish blogger, one of Sweden's foremost{{citation needed|date=February 2013}} bloggers and was the writer of Scandinavia's foremost{{citation needed|date=February 2013}} music blog a decade ago. She now runs a blog where she summarizes the lives of Swedish celebrities that has approximately 170,000 unique page views a week and is among the ten most read private bloggers in Sweden according to Bloggportalen. Education and careerGervide was born in Småland and graduated from Åkrahällskola in Nybro in 1999. Immediately afterwards, she moved to California, where she lived in the state capital, Sacramento, for two and a half years, among other things studying opera. However, she began her musical career in 1993 by participating in Lilla Melodifestivalen—at the time it was called Söndagsfestivalen (the Sunday Festival) and was a part of the television programme Söndagsöppet. She and her group Playing Angels DC finished fourth; they were the only contestants who wrote their own material. This blog is what Gervide is known for in Sweden. RecognitionIn 2012, she was nominated for Blogger of the Year at the VeckoRevyn Blog Awards. She lost to Molly Sandén, which resulted in very critical comments, mostly made by Gervide herself, to the magazine, since in Gervide's view Sandén does not blog but has simply linked her Instagram account to her blog.
