}}Canarium hirsutum is a tree in the family Burseraceae. The specific epithet {{lang|la|hirsutum}} is from the Latin meaning "bristly", referring to the rough hairs of the fruit.[3]Description
Canarium hirsutum grows up to {{convert|25|m|-1}} tall with a trunk diameter of up to {{convert|60|cm|0}}. The fruits are oblong to ovoid and measure up to {{convert|3.5|cm|in|0|abbr=on}} long.[3]Distribution and habitat
Canarium hirsutum grows widely in Malesia and is also found in the Caroline Islands and Solomon Islands.[3][6] Its habitat is mixed dipterocarp forest from sea-level to {{convert|1800|m|-3}} altitude.[3]References
