The subspecies is named for Borneo.[3]DescriptionCanarium pilosum subsp. borneensis grows up to {{convert|27|m|-1}} tall with a trunk diameter of up to {{convert|25|cm|0}}. The bark is smooth and pale brown. Stipules are absent in this subspecies.
