It is widespread in the Western Indian Ocean near the coasts of Mozambique, also around the Cape of Good Hope to St. Helena Bay, South Africa. It is a marine, demersal fish, that lives at the depth 35 – 200 m. It can reach up to 90.0 cm in maximal length. References
