Arnold and Samuel Luce }}{{Commons category|Alexander Arnold Farm}} The Capt. Alexander A. Arnold Farm is located in Galesville, Wisconsin. The farm is located near U.S. Route 53 across from Gale / Ettrick / Trempealeau High School at 19408 Silver Creek Road.[1] The farm once belonged to Speaker of the Assembly and State Senator Alexander Ahab Arnold. He designed and built the farm along with Samuel Luce.[1] Arnold used the farm to raise shorthorn cattle.[2] At the time, the {{cvt|400|acre||adj=on}} lot held a two-story farmhouse with 15 rooms and a New York-style barn.[1] The farmhouse is a brick structure.[3] It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1978.[4] In 1983, the community formed an organization to restore the farm called the Garden of Eden Preservation Society.[1] As of 2018, it continues work on the project.[1] It is open for tours on Sundays in June, July and August.[5] GalleryReferences1. ^1 2 3 4 {{cite web|title=Eastside Farm – 19408 Silver Creek Road Galesville, WI 54630|url=http://newsite.eastsidefarm.org/|website=newsite.eastsidefarm.org|accessdate=March 15, 2018}} 2. ^{{cite web|title=Biographical Sketches of Galesville Residents|url=http://trempealeau.wigenweb.org/histories/1881norwis/galesvillebios.htm|website=WIGenProject|accessdate=March 15, 2018|pages=1042-1045|date=1881}} 3. ^{{cite web|title=Alexander Arnold Farm|url=https://www.wisconsinhistory.org/Records/Image/IM31329|website=Wisconsin Historical Society|accessdate=March 15, 2018|date=August 11, 2005}} 4. ^{{NRISref|2009a}} 5. ^{{cite web|title=2016 AA Arnold House Events Flyer|url=http://www.galesvillewi.com/2016%20AA%20Arnold%20House%20Events%20Flyer2.pdf|website=Galesville Area Chamber of Commerce|accessdate=March 15, 2018|format=pdf|date=2016}} External links
