DescriptionIt grows {{convert|40|-|70|cm}} tall with the leaves being linear and {{convert|3|-|7|mm}} wide. Both inflorescence and lanceolate are {{convert|5|cm}} long. Its utricles are either pale green or orange-brown. Female specimens have pale orange-brown glumes which are ovate and are {{convert|3|mm}} in length.[2] Distribution and habitatThis species occurs in Europe, Central Asia,West Siberia, and Xinjiang, China.
