Linde (May 21, 1864 – July 12, 1945)[1][2] was a German American architect prominent in the Pacific Northwest of the United States, particularly in Portland, Oregon. Several of his works are listed on the National Register of Historic Places.[3]BiographyLinde was born in Brunswick, Germany,[1] and moved from the Midwestern United States to Portland, Oregon in 1906 and worked there as an architect until 1940. He started his own practice after 1921, and prior to that he worked for established Portland architects. Throughout his career, he became known for his preference toward Jacobean Revival architecture.
