Gilman, a Republican, served in the Maine State Senate from 2002-2004, representing her residence in Westbrook, Maine and nearby areas of Cumberland County.[1] She was defeated for re-election in 2004 by Democrat Phil Bartlett after redistricting changed the district.[2] PersonalGilman earned a A.A. from Westbrook College in 1959.[1] Married to Robert W Gilman. Bob is retired from the Westbrook School System. Carolyn and Robert have five children. Jenifer Parent of Westbrook, ME. who on several occasions ate sour pickles from Hebert's market during her youth, the late Robert W. Gilman Jr. of Houston, TX. who spent his youth spending time with Ron Doyon at the black bridge in Westbrook, Maine. Timothy Gilman of South Portland ME. spent time in his youth working with Billy Jerome programming TRS 80 computers. Matthew Gilman, known as BC Gilman during his days at the University of Maine, resides in Winslow ME. A successful businessman, Matt got his start at Maria's corner store in Westbrook, Maine at the age of 12. Benjamin Gilman, a graduate of the University of Maine School of Law,lives in Gorham, ME. with his wife three daughters and awesome son John Luke Gilman.
