Her father is Singaporean while her mother is a Malaysian Chinese. She studied at Evergreen Secondary School where she was a member of the volleyball and track and field teams. She later graduated with a diploma in Hospitality and Tourism Management from Nanyang Polytechnic in 2014, and it was during her final year when she made it as the first runner up in Hey Gorgeous 2013. Career2013: Hey GorgeousWong was scouted during her polytechnic days and chosen as one of the six contestants for the Preliminary Rounds of Hey Gorgeous in 2013 by host Ben Yeo.[3] Later that year, having emerged as second runner-up behind winner and fellow Nanyang Polytechnic student Alfred Low, Wong, along with other Hey Gorgeous past contestants, starred in her first drama on MediaCorp Channel U, Scrum, broadcast on February 2014. Wong portrayed a disabled Sport Sciences polytechnic student. In January 2014, Wong signed on to MediaCorp as a full-time artiste. 2014: Entry into MediacorpFollowing her entry into MediaCorp as a full-time artiste in January 2014, she went on to play major roles in dramas Against the Tide and Tumultuous Times alongside veteran actors. She had to go through two rounds of auditions before she was cast as Christopher Lee's on-screen sister. Her portrayals of a schizophrenic woman in Against the Tide, as well as that of a hot-tempered sweet soup seller in Tumultuous Times garnered her popular acclaim as well as a nomination for Best Supporting Actress under the series Tumultuous Times and Top 10 Most Popular Artistes. She was nominated for Best Newcomer, but lost to Aloysius Pang. In 2015, Wong played leading roles in a testube episode Love On Air alongside Desmond Tan and TV drama Sealed with a Kiss. In Star Awards 2016, she won the Social Media Award. Wong had supporting roles in three long-running TV series: 118 from 2014-2015, Life - Fear Not from 2015-2016 and 118 II from 2016-2017. Since 2015, Wong received the Top 10 Most Popular Female Artistes award in the Star Awards for four consecutive years. 2017: Best Actress' NominationIn 2017, she filmed Dream Coder and end-of-year blockbuster My Friends From Afar, which gained her first nomination for Best Actress in Star Awards 2018. In 2018, Wong was more active on the Toggle platform, Mediacorp's online service. After she made a cameo appearance in 118 Reunion, she was the female lead for toggle original series My Agent Is A Hero and VIC, also appearing in Love At Cavenagh Bridge. These shows were aired on Channel 8 and Channel U, albeit not on prime time.
