Casa Vieja Lodge was opened in 2006 in Puerto San Jose, Escuintla, Guatemala. It consists of 19 bedroom fisherman style lodge complete with an outdoor restaurant, pool, and gym. Casa Vieja Lodge is a direct result of the former and original sport fishing lodge of Fins 'n Feathers Inn by Tim Choate in 1998. A large majority of the original staff moved to Casa Vieja Lodge from Fins 'n Feathers after its closing in 2002. Casa Vieja Lodge was originally a private home that Jim Turner purchased and turned into the beginning of Casa Vieja Lodge. From there he constructed an additional building with 8 rooms and an outdoor tiki hut style dining/bar area. Turner was the owner from 2006-2013 when he then sold to David Salazar, a former captain of the Fins 'n Feathers Fleet on the Yellowfin, Nany, and the Man 'O War. David Salazar, along with his wife Kristen, are now the lodge owners, where David is at the helm of the Finest Kind, a 40' Whiticar.

The Lodge has 6 classically styled sport fish boats:[1]

Finest Kind: 40' Whitecar, Captain David Salazar

Makaira: 37' Rybovich, Captain Jason Brice

Release: 37' Merritt, Captain Chico Alvarenga

Rum Line: 40' Gamefisherman, Captain Chris Sheeder

Spindift: 38' Stolper, Captain Nicho Alvarenga

Intensity: 37' Gamefisherman, Captain Mike Sheeder
