Then one day Caitlin vanished without a trace. For a while they grasped at every false hope and followed every empty lead, but the tragedy ended up changing their lives, overwhelming them with guilt and dread, and shattering their marriage.[2] Four years later, Caitlin is found alive—dirty and disheveled yet preternaturally calm. She won’t discuss where she was or what happened. Then the police arrest a suspect connected to the disappearance, but Caitlin refuses to testify, leaving the Stuarts with a choice: Let the man who may be responsible for destroying their lives walk away, or take matters into their own hands. And when Tom decides to try to uncover the truth for himself, he finds that nothing that has happened yet can prepare him for what he is about to discover. ReceptionPublisher’s Weekly called Cemetery Girl “disquieting and suspenseful” [3] and Suspense Magazine called it “brilliantly engaging, and a must-read for thriller fans.”[4] The Washington Post criticized Bell's novel because "his characters keep behaving in maddeningly irrational ways."[5] Cemetery Girl was a finalist for the 2012 Kentucky Literary Award.[6]The novel received the most write-in votes when the New York Times asked readers what book should have won the Pulitzer Prize in fiction.[7] Cemetery Girl book trailerNashville filmmaker James Weems shot a short film called “Caitlin’s Story” [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3xG3z2sC67U] that serves as the book trailer for Bell’s Cemetery Girl.[8] References1. ^{{cite web|title=Cemetery Girl|url=http://us.penguingroup.com/nf/Book/BookDisplay/0,,9780451234674,00.html|publisher=Penguin|accessdate=13 June 2012}} 2. ^{{cite news|title=Fiction review - Cemetery Girl|url=http://www.publishersweekly.com/978-0-451-23467-4|accessdate=10 June 2012|newspaper=Publisher's Weekly|date=August 29, 2011}} 3. ^{{cite news|title=Fiction review - Cemetery Girl|url=http://www.publishersweekly.com/978-0-451-23467-4|accessdate=10 June 2012|newspaper=Publisher's Weekly|date=August 29, 2011}} 4. ^{{cite news|last=Sadler|first=Mark|title=Suspense Magazine Review of "Cemetery Girl" by David Bell:|url=http://www.suspensemagazine.com/files/October_2011_Suspense_Magazine.pdf|accessdate=10 June 2012|newspaper=Suspense Magazine|date=October 2011}} 5. ^{{cite news|last=Anderson|first=Patrick|title=Book review: ‘Cemetery Girl’ by David Bell|url=https://www.washingtonpost.com/entertainment/books/book-review-cemetery-girl-by-david-bell/2011/10/10/gIQAcBebpL_story.html|accessdate=19 June 2012|newspaper=The Washington Post|date=October 16, 2011}} 6. ^{{cite web|title=Kentucky Literary Award|url=http://www.sokybookfest.org/KY-Literary-Award|publisher=Southern Kentucky Book Fest|accessdate=19 June 2012}} 7. ^{{cite news|last=Sternbergh|first=Adam|title=The Great Pulitzer Do-Over: Results Show|url=http://6thfloor.blogs.nytimes.com/2012/05/14/the-great-pulitzer-do-over-results-show/|accessdate=4 July 2012|newspaper=The New York Times|date=May 14, 2012}} 8. ^{{cite news|last=Blanford|first=Sidney|title=WKU community creates book trailer|newspaper=College Heights Herald|date=September 6, 2011}} External links
