The name of the village is based on an old lady Dadi Chaini Devi, who was the first villager of the village. It is in the Hansi constituency in the Haryana legislature system and in the hisar constituency in the parliamentarian system. Basically it is a modal village have all facilities like Primary School, High School, dispensary, tuition centers, common service center, ration distribution center, SBI kiosk center, Veterinary Hospital, Community center, marriage place, various chaupals, patwari office, BSNL exchange, street lights, paved streets, Sport Complex, electricity complaint center, local shopping complexes, connectivity to all nearby villages through metaled roads, Modern bus stand & public health tanker with boosting pumps. 1). Though all facilities are available in CHANOT Village but it has been always neglected by the local government and the facilities like irrigation system which is bare necessity of the people there has not been provided so far despite the fact that major population are involved in the Agriculture and they have there earning from the agriculture only. If compare to adjacent villages like Ghirai, Kharkhari, Singhwa-Ragho, Sindhar, Khanpur, Datta, Gurana & Bhatla irrigation system is in very bad shape and needs to be taken into attention and immediate action must be taken to give benefit for the population of this village. 2). Being a populated village a Government College especially for girls is required because they face many challenges during going to a distant college. 3).Technical College is also required to empower the youth in order to get employment and to remove the um-employment in the village. 4).Government Hospital is also required in the village because there is no transport facilities to take the patient to the Hospital which 12 km away from the village. List Of Sarpanch (Head of Panchayat) in villageThe present Sarpanch of the village is Shree Rammehar Singh.
