The formation's thickness can be more than {{convert|610|m|ft}}.[3] FossilsThe sedimentary marine formation preserves fossils dating from the Middle Campanian to Early Maestrichtian epochs of the Cretaceous period.[1][4] It has diverse molluscan faunas.[3] The most common taxa are:[5]
