She later failed a drug test,[3] and was temporarily banned from continuing the Games on Tuesday, July 29, 2014 after Amiloride and Hydrochlorothiazide were found in her A sample. Her B sample was then sent for testing the following day, which returned positive to prohibited substances.[4] Following the Commonwealth Games Federation (CGF) scheduled meeting with Amalaha on Friday, August 1, 2014, she was subsequently stripped of her medal [5] As a result, Dika Toua of Papua New Guinea was awarded gold, Santoshi Matsa of India silver and Swati Singh, also of India, bronze. Amalaha was subsequently handed a two-year doping ban. The ban ended July 25, 2016.[6] References1. ^http://results.glasgow2014.com/athlete/weightlifting/1014351/c_amalaha.html 2. ^http://results.glasgow2014.com/medalists.html/9003805 3. ^https://www.theguardian.com/sport/2014/jul/29/commonwealth-games-chika-amalaha-fails-doping-test 4. ^{{cite web|url=http://www.cofellow.com/entertainment/chika-amalaha-could-be-stripped-of-won-gold-medal/ |title=Archived copy |accessdate=2014-08-01 |deadurl=yes |archiveurl=https://web.archive.org/web/20140808063942/http://www.cofellow.com/entertainment/chika-amalaha-could-be-stripped-of-won-gold-medal/ |archivedate=2014-08-08 |df= }} 5. ^http://www.ctvnews.ca/sports/nigerian-weightlifter-stripped-of-gold-medal-after-positive-drug-test-1.1942259 6. ^International Weightlifting Federation: Sanctioned athletes {{webarchive |url=https://web.archive.org/web/20130327032059/http://www.iwf.net/anti-doping/sanctioned-athletes/ |date=March 27, 2013 }}, iwf.net.
