Chile hosts a Palestinian community of 450,000-500,000 which is regarded the largest outside the Arab world.^[1] The exact number of Palestinians is unknown, including the number of descendants, due to the various influxes throughout history.^[1]

On 7 January 2011, Chile recognized Palestine as a "full, free and sovereign" state.^[2] On 29 November 2018, the Chilean National Congress banned the entry of products manufactured in Israeli settlements.^[3]
