It is another gate to the walled city of Pyongyang.[1] The colorfully painted pavilion has a crane-shaped roof propped up by ten pillars. It was built during the period of the Koguryo kingdom, and rebuilt in 1716. The structure was damaged during the Korean War, but has since been rebuilt by the government in 1959.[2] References1. ^ {{cite book |last=Willoughby |first=Robert |date=Jul 22, 2014 |title=North Korea |url=https://books.google.ca/books?id=z4XKBAAAQBAJ&lpg=PA137&ots=HHqaOWWcLh&dq=chongryu%20walls&pg=PA137#v=onepage&q=chongryu%20walls&f=false |location= |publisher=Bradt Travel Guides |page=see page 137 |isbn=1841624764 |access-date=June 13, 2015 }} {{coord missing|North Korea}}2. ^{{cite news |author= |title= Chongryu Pavilion in Moran Hill |url=http://www.kcna.co.jp/item/2011/201111/news11/20111111-31ee.html |newspaper= KCNA|location= Pyongyang|date=November 11, 2011 |access-date=June 13, 2015 }} 3 : National Treasures of North Korea|Buildings and structures in Pyongyang|Hanok |
