释义 |
In Roman mythology, Poena (also Poine) is the spirit of punishment[1] and the attendant of punishment to Nemesis,[2] the goddess of divine retribution. The Latin word poena, "pain, punishment, penalty", gave rise to English words such as subpoena and pain.[3] The original word is the Ancient Greek poinḗ (ποινή), also meaning “penalty.” References1. ^{{cite web | url=http://www.theoi.com/Daimon/Poine.html | title=Poine | publisher=Theoi Project | accessdate=2013-04-08 | author=Atsma, Aaron}} 2. ^{{cite web | url=http://www.atm.ox.ac.uk/user/irwin/nemesis.html | title=Nemesis | publisher=University of Oxford | accessdate=2013-04-08 | author=Irwin, Patrick | deadurl=yes | archiveurl=https://web.archive.org/web/20101002053525/http://www.atm.ox.ac.uk/user/irwin/nemesis.html | archivedate=2010-10-02 | df= }} 3. ^{{cite web | url=http://www.etymonline.com/index.php?term=penal&allowed_in_frame=0 | title=Penal - Etymology | publisher=Online Etymology Dictionary | accessdate=2013-04-08 | author=Harper, Douglas}} External links
