}}Cochylis atricapitana, the black-headed conch, is a moth of the family Tortricidae. It is found in China (Xinjiang) and most of Europe.[3] The wingspan is 10.5–13 mm. There are two generations per year with adults on wing from May to June and again in August. The larvae feed on Senecio jacobaea. Larvae of the first generation first feed on the flowers and later feed in the main stem, causing a swelling. Pupation takes place in a yellowish brown cocoon within the stem. Larvae of the second generation feed in the stems and roots and overwinter. This second generation pupates in April.[4] References1. ^Fauna Europaea {{Wikispecies}}{{Commons}}{{Taxonbar|from=Q5139468}}{{Cochylis-stub}}2. ^tortricidae.com 3. ^[https://www.pensoft.net/inc/journals/download.php?fileId=5716&fileTable=J_GALLEYS Cochylis Treitschke in China: one new species and five new records (Lepidoptera, Tortricidae, Cochylini)] 4. ^[https://ukmoths.org.uk/show.php?bf=966 UKmoths] 4 : Moths described in 1852|Cochylis|Moths of Europe|Insects of Europe |
