词条 | Colorbound |
释义 | {{Unsourced|date=November 2013}} Colorbound is a fairy chess term. It describes pieces that can only ever visit squares of one color on a checkerboard. In orthodox chess, the bishop is the only colorbound piece. Some colorbound fairy pieces are the ferz, camel, and kirin. {{Chess diagram| tright | |ul| | | | | |ur| | |ul| | | |ur| | | | |ul| |ur| | | | | |ox|bl|ox| | | | |ox|dl| |dr|ox| | | |dl| |nl| |dr| | |dl|ox| | | |ox|dr| | | |ox| |ox| | |dr | In this diagram, the white bishop can only move to white squares; therefore it is colorbound. The white knight changes the color of square it is on with every move; therefore it is not colorbound. }}{{Chess piece}}{{Chess-stub}} 1 : Fairy chess pieces |
