释义 |
Convergence indexing road traffic monitoring is a system of motion sensors and speed cameras placed on highway ramps. The system creates a centralized index of cars based on their license plate numbers. Drivers who repeatedly use the same ramps, especially during rush hour, may be sent a notification to use an alternative route in the future.[1]{{failed verification|date=March 2012}} Criticism of convergence indexing{{or|date=March 2012}}Critics say that collecting a license plate database of law-abiding people is a breach of civil liberties and human rights.[2] References1. ^{{cite web| url=http://www.poliisi.fi/poliisi/home.nsf/pages/F2CF05828292B686C2256BC7002DDB73?opendocument| title=Convergence indexing (in Finnish)| publisher=Poliisi.fi| year=2008| accessdate=2008-07-07| }} {{road-stub}}2. ^{{cite web| url=https://www.aclu.org/privacy/spying/14863res20020225.html| title=What's Wrong With Public Video Surveillance }} 2 : Road transport|Counting instruments |
