It was described by Harrison Gray Dyar Jr. in 1918. It is found in Zacualpan, Mexico.[1] The wingspan is about 17 mm. The forewings are purplish grey, irrorated with black. There is a discal mark in the form of a black ring in a red-brown cloud. The hindwings are dirty white, but darker on the edge. Adults have been recorded on wing in May.[2] References1. ^{{cite web |url=http://globiz.pyraloidea.org/Pages/Reports/TaxonReport.aspx |title=GlobIZ search |website=Global Information System on Pyraloidea |accessdate=15 July 2014}} {{Taxonbar|from=Q19596481}}{{Scopariinae-stub}}2. ^[https://archive.org/stream/proceedingsofuni541919unit#page/370/mode/1up Proceedings of the United States National Museum 54 (2239): 370] 2 : Moths described in 1918|Scopariinae |
