Its cylindrical spores measure 35–45 by 2 µm; arranged in a parallel fashion,[3] they are borne in asci that measure 105–120 by 10–12 µm.[4] The paraphyses are curled at their tips.[3] Cudonia circinans is similar in appearance, but its stalk is not the same color as its head.[3]Habitat and distributionCudonia confusa is found in Asia (China[7] and Korea[3]) and Europe, where it usually grows in tufts in coniferous forests.[4]References1. ^1 2 3 4 {{cite journal |author=Hong S-W, Jang Y-S. |title=Notes on unrecorded fleshy ascomycetes in Korea |journal=Korean Journal of Mycology |year=1987 |volume=15 |issue=2 |pages=76–79 |url=http://210.101.116.28/W_ftp41/17001352_pv.pdf |format=PDF |deadurl=yes |archiveurl=https://web.archive.org/web/20120316172706/http://210.101.116.28/W_ftp41/17001352_pv.pdf |archivedate=2012-03-16 |df= }} 2. ^1 {{cite web |title=Cudonia confusa Bres.
