It was named after its distribution in the Philippines.[3] It is commonly known as the Philippine bent-toed gecko[1] or Philippine bow-fingered gecko.[3][2]Distribution and habitatCyrtodactylus philippinicus is found throughout the northern Philippines. It is common from low- to mid-elevation riparian forests, at elevations of {{convert|800|or|900|m}}.[4] Introduced populations exist in Indonesia and Malaysia.[1]BehaviourThe species is nocturnal, active at night on rocks and boulders, over-hanging stumps and logs, or on root balls of large trees exposed by flowing water.[4] StatusCyrtodactylus philippinicus has been evaluated as Least Concern by the IUCN due to its wide distribution, estimated large population, and stable population trend. It is mainly threatened by deforestation.[1]References1. ^1 2 3 4 {{Cite journal | author = Brown, R. | author2 = Gaulke, M. | author3 = & Rico, E. | title = Cyrtodactylus philippinicus | journal = The IUCN Red List of Threatened Species | volume = 2009 | page = e.T169862A6683538 | publisher = IUCN | date = 2009 | url = http://www.iucnredlist.org/details/169862/0 | doi = 10.2305/IUCN.UK.2009-2.RLTS.T169862A6683538.en | access-date = 14 January 2018}} 2. ^1 {{cite book|last=Wrobel|first=Murray|title=Elsevier's Dictionary of Reptiles|url=https://books.google.com/books?id=flNRoNKHq80C&pg=PA152|year=2004|publisher=Elsevier|isbn=978-0-08-045920-2|page=152}} 3. ^1 2 3 {{NRDB species|genus=Cyrtodactylus |species=philippinicus |accessdate=22 November 2015}} 4. ^1 {{OA-attribution|{{cite journal|last1=Brown|first1=Rafe|last2=Siler|first2=Cameron|last3=Oliveros|first3=Carl|last4=Welton|first4=Luke|last5=Rock|first5=Ashley|last6=Swab|first6=John|last7=Van Weerd|first7=Merlijn|last8=van Beijnen|first8=Jonah|last9=Rodriguez|first9=Dominic|last10=Jose|first10=Edmund|last11=Diesmos|first11=Arvin|displayauthors=2|title=The amphibians and reptiles of Luzon Island, Philippines, VIII: the herpetofauna of Cagayan and Isabela Provinces, northern Sierra Madre Mountain Range|journal=ZooKeys|volume=266|issue=0|year=2013|pages=1–120|issn=1313-2970|doi=10.3897/zookeys.266.3982|pmid=23653519|pmc=3591760}}}} External links{{plainlist|
