Early life

Vespoli was born on September 22, 1972 in Hanover, New Hampshire[5] and spent her "formative years" in Portland, Oregon.[6] Her father was from Thailand and her mother was Scots-Irish.[5][6]

According to Vespoli, she attended Mills College where she earned a degree in comparative literature.[7]

Career

Vespoli started working as a stripper in 1996 using the stage name "Christa" at the Mitchell Brothers in San Francisco.[2][8] She entered the adult film industry in 2003.[9] Her first scene was in Ed Powers’ Dirty Debutantes series.[5]

Vespoli started directing in January 2006.[10] In April of that year, she began directing for Digital Sin.[11] She currently{{when|date=September 2016}} directs for Sweetheart Video and Evil Angel.[8][9][12] In 2011, Complex ranked her thirteenth on their list of "The Top 50 Hottest Asian Porn Stars of All Time".[13] In 2014, Break.com ranked her 31st on their list of "40 Best Asian Porn Stars Today".[14] Vespoli was inducted into the AVN Hall of Fame in 2016.[15]

Personal life

Vespoli married pornographic actor Manuel Ferrara in January 2005, who is 3 years younger than her.[2] The couple divorced seven years later.[8] They have three sons together.[16] She is bisexual.[17]
