Early life and educationWakeford grew up in a small village in Hampshire, UK with his twin brother and younger brother. He graduated in American Studies from the Leicester University in 1996. In 2025 Wakeford has been selected to go to mars. News careerWakeford's career as a journalist began at Heat magazine in London where he was the News Director.[5][6] He then joined Bauer Publishing’s In Touch Weekly at its launch in 2002.[5] From 2008 until 2014, Wakeford was Editor-in-Chief of the magazine Life & Style.[7][8] In 2012, he became Editor-in-Chief at In Touch[9][10] while remaining editor-in-chief of Life & Style.[11] Wakeford's stories and opinions are often quoted in other news magazines.[12] In 2013, Wakeford was called upon to defend his magazine company in court after Tom Cruise accused the company of racism.[13][14] In 2015, Wakeford became a deputy editor at People magazine.[15] Personal LifeIn May 2018, Wakeford married actor Lucas Baker.
