Playing careerLeigh RMIOn 24 August 1996 he joined Leigh RMI just an hour before the transfer deadline, enabling him to make his debut for the club, as a substitute, in the 3-1 Northern Premier League Division One home defeat to Droylsden later that afternoon.[1] In 2002, he turned down the offer of a new 12-month contract with Leigh[2] to join Stalybridge Celtic, linking up with former Leigh assistant manager David Miller and a number of ex-Hilton Park teammates.[3] HonoursClub
