It is part of the Dayanand Anglo-Vedic Schools System and the DAV College Trust and Management Society, New Delhi. It has more than 3500 students. The campus occupies 4.57 acres, with an additional 4.25 acres of playgrounds. Students are prepared both for the senior secondary and secondary examination conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE).It is one of the best schools of Odisha as well as India.The school has the best infrastructure among all the D.A.Vs of Odisha.Academy wise this school has produced results which are always in the top 5. It is a sporting powerhouse too, with the Kabbadi team, both GIRLS and BOYS winning back to back titles.The football team and the basketball team are good teams having won the SAHODAYA title multiple times.The football team is a seeded team, qualifying directly for the pre-quarter finals of the MCL Inter School Football Tournament directly for many years.The school has state of art infrastructure with the biggest campus in Odisha among all D.A.Vs.It has been accredited as A+++ grade school recently.
