Defenders of Gibraltar is a political activist group based in the British Overseas Territory of Gibraltar. They are outspoken against the harassment and bullying of Gibraltar by the Spanish Government and have performed numerous demonstrations on the streets defending Britain's right to remain in control of Gibraltar. In 2012 they publicly collected 10,000 signatures^[1] and claimed that 99% of the people canvassed supported the aim of the petition.^[2] The group claim that "The Spanish Government continue to deny us our universal rights and ability to determine our own future."^[3]
