ManagementThe Department of Railways was under the control of a single Commissioner for Railways who answered to the Minister for Railways. The first commissioner of the Department of Railways was J.T. Hartigan who held the position until his retirement in 1948. He was then replaced by R.Winsor.[1] The last Commissioner for Railways was Neil McCusker.
