The Diliman commune was a uprising led by the students, faculty members and residents of the University of the Philippines Diliman,[1][2] together with transport workers, on February 1–9, 1971, in protest of the three centavo increase in oil prices midway through the second term of the Marcos administration - about a year after the events of the First Quarter Storm and about a year before Marcos' eventual declaration of Martial Law.[3][4]
