But Rosália is in love with Adriano, just graduated doctor who met at a masked ball in the New Year's Eve 1900, unaware that he was the son of M. de Montserrat. Meanwhile, Montserrat keeps in his care a woman, Joan, said to be crazy, trapped in a room of his mansion - a woman who knows too much about his dark past. At the end it turns out that Joan was the wife of Montserrat, who had pretended to be a widower. But the banker has yet to face his old rival, Dr. Jorge Ramos, who will play Jane in the past.
