He played college football for the Fordham Rams football team. He was selected by the Associated Press, United Press and Newspaper Enterprise Association as a first-team fullback on the 1939 College Football All-America Team.[1][2][3] He was drafted by the New York Giants with the 80th pick in the 1940 NFL Draft and played for the Giants during the 1940 to 1942 NFL seasons.
