It was written by Peter "Peavy" Wagner, Rage's frontman. The song was the first classic of the band and is one of the best known songs by Rage. A music video was made for the track in 1988. It is very common on Rage's concert setlists. Parts of the song has featured on the medleys "The Blow in a Row", from 10 Years in Rage, and symphonic piano version in Lingua Mortis.
