At {{coord|36|46|N|34|24|E}} it is situated in the lower slopes of the Toros Mountains. Its distance to Erdemli is {{convert|25|km}} and to Mersin is {{convert|30|km}} . The population of Dağusandal is 264 [1] as of 2012. There are ruins of Byzantine settlements around the village, however the village was founded about four centuries ago.
