释义 |
Generational Diversity is a recent development of workplace diversity that stems from the adoption of a common set of social and historic events that help form their ideals, morals, and work ethics. It has quickly become one of the most unique factors when studying the organizational behavior of a workplace and has become a topic of discussion in Business Schools in the United States. It has occurred primarily due to the advancement of modern medicine and the extended lifespan of working persons in developed countries. Generational diversity consists of four primary generations: Traditionalists born before the end of World War II, Baby Boomers born after World War II until 1960, Generation X born between the years of 1960-1980, and Millenials born from 1980 to Present. While these dates are a good indication of what generation one may belong to, there are many other psychological and environmental factors that may contribute to which generation one may fall in.
