ProductionDevelopmentOn October 15, 2014, Warner Bros. announced to make a stand-alone Green Lantern film based on the DC Comics character of the same name.[1] There was a possibility that African-American character John Stewart might be Green Lantern in Warner Bros.'s film.[2] On June 24, 2015, Entertainment Tonight talked with Tyrese Gibson and he revealed that he might be the next Green Lantern. He told ET that he had a meeting with Warner Bros. and there were negotiations but they would see what happens.[3] The film was announced to be titled Green Lantern Corps on July 11, 2015 during San Diego Comic-Con.[4] In March 2016, producer Charles Roven said that Green Lantern would not appear in any film before Justice League Part Two, and he said that they "could put Green Lantern in some introduction in Justice League 2, or barring that, a movie after."[5] In January 2017, Warner Bros. hired David S.
