Laura Mam was born and raised in California, USA. Her parents were former Khmer Rouge survivors and then moved to the United States in the early 1980s. The Like Me'sHer band, founded in her university, receives fast popularity, and has two music tours to Cambodia since. As a local band from California, the band plays original songs from the 1960s as well as a cover of a hit song "Sva Roam Monkiss".
