HistoryParker's began in 1921 as an an oil distributorship. In 1975, the first Parker’s Convenience store was constructed at Midway, Georgia. On January 31, 2011 Parker's released the pumppal card.[1] PumpPal clubParker's has recieved attention for it's PumpPal club, which was created to "enable Parker’s customers to keep extra money in their wallet that would otherwise be paid to credit card companies and big banks". [2] Parker's PumpPal club has been the subject of a Georgia court case in which Greg Parker has sued Georgia Agriculture Commissioner Gary Black. The state complained "the 'club price' advertised on Parker’s signs was deceptive because the discount price was not immediately available to a customer who was not a club member." As a result, the department changed their ruling originally allowing the price to be displayed.[3] Other venturesParker's has also ventured into many other markets in the Savannah area. Parker's Market is an upscale convenience store not attached to a gas station. Parker Oil is a wholesaler of BP and Chevron gasoline.
