Career

Sanjay Laforest opened Le Prive in June 2017.^[3] Sanjay was able to do so with the aid of his family (brother, sister, brother-in-law) and closest friend.^[3] Prior to owning a restaurant Sanjay owned a company named Prive Group which dealt with event planning, consulting, and marketing.^[2] Prive Group hosted many events including events for New York Fashion Week.^[4] Prive group clients included: MTV, Esquire Magazine, Sports Illustrated, Heineken, Playboy Magazine, Maxim Magazine, Swizz Beats, Black Eyed Peas, and Kid Cudi. "^[5] Sanjay is expanding with a Mexican restaurant located in Hells Kitchen as well. ^[6]

Personal

Sanjay was born from a Haitian father.^[3] His entrepreneurial nature originated from his parents who owned various restaurants in New York when he was a child. ^[2]

Sanjay has played on the professional racquetball circuit where he's competed in the highest level tournaments such as nationals and the world championships.^[7] His current ranking in New York State doubles is #3 ^[7] and for the nation in doubles is #590.^[7]
