Stephen Ben-Oliel is a gemologist from Vancouver, British Columbia. He is the founder of Canada's first diamond-cutting factory in Yellowknife, the first diamond site holder in Canada, and the former president of Sirius Diamonds Ltd. He is noted for creating the Polar Bear Diamond™ engraving method.^[1]. The polar bear trademark symbol was challenged by the government of the Northwest Territories in 2001 for trademark infringement^[2].

Stephen is now the founder of Canadian Noble House Diamonds, located in Vancouver^[3]
