DreamBIG Children's Festival is South Australia's preeminent arts festival for schools and families and the largest festival of its kind in the world. The DreamBIG Children's Festival, then known as Come Out Festival, began in 1974 as part of the Adelaide Festival of Arts and became a stand-alone biennial event in 1975. The first biennial event was held at the Adelaide Festival Centre.[1] Over two million South Australian children have participated in DreamBIG Children's Festival since it began. Every two years, DreamBIG Children's Festival presents a multi-arts program designed to intrigue, excite and inspire South Australian children.
